Fir Crest Resort Blog

Below is a copy of the conceptual plan for Fir Crest Resort. Overall, there are 15 cabin sites, 88 RV sites, and 10 camping sites dedicated to the travelling public. We anticipate that we will begin lot pre-sales this winter with possession as early as fall 2010. There is still a lot of work to do and approvals to obtain, but we are excited to bring this project to life over the spring/summer of 2010!

Additionally, we are working on a new website for www.fircrestresort.com which will have a registration area for people who are interested in lot purchases. Currently, we are performing a market analysis and recent appraisal on the property in order to establish the prices we will be announcing later this fall.

After a successful Public Hearing on August 11th, we received notice that the Land Use Change application (rezoning) was read before council today and has been successfully passed!

The next stage will be for us to apply for the subdivision (bareland strata) of the resort so we can commence with pre-sales and construction.

Over the next few weeks, the appraisers will be visiting the property and providing a market analysis of the current conditions for RV and cottage lots in order for us to establish our selling prices.

Thank you to all the community members who came out to the Public Hearing and voiced your opinions and concerns. Many of the issues that were raised will be dealt with by registering restrictive covenants on title to the resort in order to protect the interests of the community. We hope that we can make this community proud by developing a great property into a great resort. Over the past 2 years, we have really grown to love the lake, the community, and the natural surrounding. It is our hope that future owners will share our passion for the area.

The official Public Hearing date has been scheduled for the Fir Crest Resort redevelopment plans.  This is regarding the rezoning application for the resort which will be followed by a bareland strata subdivision application.  Representatives from the development team will be present.
